If you own a growing population and area covered in that population, you have to end the call before selling stock

So if I have a spread on an idea, I got a position at a strike price and I wrote and sold a covered call, if the stock gets into the water could collect cash or sell to close my post, but I need to buy my call in writing before I sold the stock?

This depends on the level of options trading approved for your account. If allowed to naked calls, you do not have to close the call before you sell the stock. If you are not allowed to have open flames, you have to close the call before you sell the stock.
